Publication on digital platforms as market authorities
Recently published: an article on digital platforms as market authorities (in Dutch), in TPEdigitaal, by Werner Gelijn (Ministry of Economics Affairs and Climate) and Paul de Bijl (Radicand Economics and Ngrane). What should governments do when platforms act as market authorities over the markets they create? To what extent are platforms responsible for the behavior of the users of their platforms? In case of problems, there may be a reason for government intervention, through existing or new principles and legislation. The article is available here.
